Job DescriptionThe Clinical Governance & Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation's clinical governance framework and systems, ensuring that clinical quality and safety standards are met consistently, and safe delivery of our supportive care services and programs is achieved and maintained.
This role will be responsible for leading the effective implementation of recommendations and quality improvement opportunities identified through the accreditation process, embedding continuous quality improvement cycles to drive clinical service improvement, and maintaining compliance with the Foundation's Clinical Governance Framework.
This is a permanent part-time position of 30 hours per week with flexibility around how the days and hours fall across the week.
This role will be based out of Brisbane with the flexibility to work across both our Dutton Park and Coopers Plains sites.
Leukaemia Foundation adopts a hybrid working model, therefore if you have a suitable home workstation you will have the flexibility to work from home two days a week.
We will trust you with: Ensuring ongoing compliance with the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards and LF clinical governance framework (and other relevant cancer care standards/frameworks).Driving continuous improvement by successfully implementing recommendations from external audits and accreditation assessments.Enhancing clinical outcomes and service delivery through the implementation of clinical audit findings and quality improvement initiatives.Regular collection and use of safety and quality metrics e.g.
clinical incidents, risks and patient feedback to inform service improvements.Improving clinical governance knowledge and continuous quality improvement practices among clinical staff.Ensuring high standards of professional conduct.Does this sound like you: AHPRA Registration (or equivalent) with tertiary qualifications and clinical experience in relevant health-related discipline.A strong skill set in patient safety and continuous quality improvement, or clinical leadership.Thorough understanding of accreditation requirements in accordance with the Primary and Community Healthcare Standards (or equivalent e.g.
NSQHSS).Experience in leading clinical safety & quality system activities and processes.Strong understanding of best practice in consumer (patient) engagement.Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.Strong cross-functional team working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and achieve outcomes.Desired criteria: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant leadership experience.Governance and accreditation experience within a digital health environment.Experience managing clinical risks, incidents, and quality improvement projects in a healthcare environment.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent highly regarded.Relevant experience in cancer care setting within a hospital or community environment, or experience with other chronic diseases.At Leukaemia Foundation we offer: Salary including generous salary packaging up to $15,900.Salary packaging meal and entertainment card $2,650.Ongoing training and development.A collaborative, innovative and supportive team culture.Social and well-being activities.Employee Assistance Program.To Apply: If you're interested in this exciting role, please send through a one-page cover letter addressing the essential requirements of the role and your CV in PDF via the apply button on Seek or through the Leukaemia Foundation website.
