About the roleMater Private Hospital Townsville are currently seeking a Clinical Facilitator to join our Mater Clinical Education team.
This position is vital in supporting our clinical team, where you will be directly providing educational support to our Orthopaedics, Surgical, Peadiatrics and Sleep Studies teams.
This presents an exhilarating opportunity to join our dynamic team and become a catalyst for change, driving impactful continuous improvement and implementation across our clinical educational programs and services in Townsville.This successful applicant will receive a 7-month fixed term maternity leave contract, where you will work 20 hours a week.
This role offers work life balance and flexibility with standard business hours Monday – FridaySalary range: $54.21 - $58.08 (RN level 2) per hour plus superannuation and + What you'll be doingThis role will work as part of the Mater Clinical Education team to support education programs and services.
Support the professional development of the nursing team, be a mentoring for junior staff, new grads and our quickly growing workforce.Ensure education delivery meets operational service delivery imperatives and timeframes to result in positive outcomes for staff and patients which is measured through 360-degree feedback.Commitment to education and delivering safe, quality, evidence-based patient care.In collaboration with the Education Co-Ordinator and the senior clinical staff, design, deliver and evaluate workplace / unit specific orientation and onboarding programs for all staff.Plan, develop, implement and evaluate education activities and resources to maintain currency and alignment with education best practice, methodologies, and technology which meets various preferred learning styles, maximise individual and team capability, is resource efficient, and supports positive returns on investment.
About you Current and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Professional Registration Authority (AHPRA)Minimum 2years recent experience working as a Clinical Nurse or Registered NurseTAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or postgraduate qualification in education, or willingness to work towards achieving (desirable not essential)Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and educationHigh level communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work as part of a team and independentlyStrong focus on professional self-development and that of othersConfidence in themselves and their decisions, strong leadership skills, and the ability to comfortably engage in difficult conversations.
