Fixed-term (12 months - parental leave), full-time (1.0 FTE) opportunity!Fantastic benefits and work environment at Curtin UniversityJob reference: 738388Your new roleWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Educator to join our team in a fixed-term (12 months – parental leave) term at the School of Allied Health.
As a Clinical Educator for Occupational Therapy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the clinical education experiences of our undergraduate and graduate entry master students.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and support to students in the development of clinical skills, procedures, knowledge, and professional development.Work closely with academic staff and other clinical educators to ensure students are well-prepared for their professional careers.Liaise with industry and community partners to facilitate meaningful clinical education opportunities for students.Contribute to the overall development and enhancement of our Occupational Therapy program.If you are passionate about clinical education and making a positive impact on the future generation of Occupational Therapists, we would love to hear from you.

Selection CriteriaA degree in Occupational Therapy, and have current, or be eligible for, registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and at least four years clinical experience in a relevant clinical area.Demonstrate advanced knowledge and clinical skills in one or more areas of occupational therapy practice.Demonstrate advanced understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice.Demonstrate high level inter-personal, oral and written communication skills as an effective educator.Demonstrate ability to develop and implement innovative methods of instruction for students and supervisors in skills, knowledge and behaviours of relevance to Occupational Therapy.Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to establish effective relationships and to represent and promote Occupational Therapy at an interprofessional, School, University, and wider community level.Demonstrate ability to prioritise tasks, multi-task and manage time effectively.DesirableA professional postgraduate in Occupational Therapy or related field.Experience in innovative models of clinical education.Evidence of professional development in clinical education.Applications close: Thursday, 17 October 2024, 3:00 pm AWSTWhy Choose Us?We are an energetic, dedicated team of academics and professionals working together to provide global solutions through quality graduates and innovative research.
