Job Description
The successful candidate will lead a sophisticated psychiatric rehabilitation service consisting of a Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit, two community residential facilities, and a Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team, in order to provide high quality clinical care and non-clinical services to benefit consumers of the service.
This role comes with opportunities to engage in academic activities, including research, quality activities and teaching the health professionals of the future. The candidate will lead and manage the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the specialty, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with the THHS and (QH) policies, in a hospital, community and outreach setting.
Qualifications in Psychiatry, recognised by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, and current registration with/or eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia are required. Suitability to be an Authorised Psychiatrist under the Mental Health Act 2016 is also necessary. Ongoing professional development relevant to the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services to maintain appropriate registration and/or association requirements is a requirement of all staff within the MHSG.
Generous remuneration package value up to $536,916 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $210,332 to $266,677 p.a. (L18 – L27), Annual leave with 17.5% loading, 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation, Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary), Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,000 p.a., Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a leave.
