About this Opportunity Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, Medical and Retrieval Services, as our first Darwin/NT based Clinical Director, you will be inspired to implement leadership, structure and clinical governance oversight to our evolving medical team across the Northern Territory.
Specifically, you will:
Develop and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and contractual partners in the Northern Territory to ensure our services meet the evolving needs of healthcare partners and Territorians. Develop, grow, lead, motivate and guide our evolving team of Rural Generalist and Retrieval doctors to achieve RFDS SA/NT's mission of providing excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across the Northern Territory In collaboration with the RFDS SA/NT Darwin leadership team, identify opportunities aligned with the RFDS SA/NT vision, mission and values thatcontribute to healthy and safe remote pastoral and Aboriginal communities via improved access to high quality primary and emergency healthcare Strengthen relationships with ACCHOs to find areas of partnership that support their delivery of contextually and culturally appropriate healthcare for Aboriginal communities In collaboration with the Clinical Directors of Retrieval and Primary Care (South Australia), oversee delivery and quality assurance of Top End based services encompassing contracted long haul aeromedical retrieval services to/from Darwin, evolving Rural Generalist remote and outreach services, and arising remote emergency/urgent care services. About You You possess:
5+ years' experience at consultant level in your area of Fellowship Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and mentoring a team of doctors Extensive knowledge of the principles of both emergency medicine and primary health care, including within rural and remote environments Experience in emergency medicine, anaesthesia or critical care services, ideally with exposure to retrieval medicine Strong collegial relationships across different specialty areas of medicine Highly developed interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills. To be considered for the role you require:
General medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Fellowship with ACEM, ANZCA or ACRRM/RACGP with JCCA Proof of current medical indemnity Full and valid drivers licence issued in an Australian state or territory.
