Coordinate the overall professional experience placements within health care environments and provide direct and indirect support to undergraduate nursing, paramedics and allied health students and their supervisors/preceptors.
The Role: The key duties of this role are to coordinate and facilitate the learning and teaching of undergraduate nursing, paramedics and allied health students within the Midlands Multipurpose Health Centre.
Demonstrated high level relevant clinical experience, knowledge and skills with the ability to apply educational principles to motivate students and staff and promote learning and teaching outcomes in healthcare settings. Demonstrated time management and organisational skills including the ability to coordinate learning and teaching of undergraduate health care students in both team and individual working environments. Proven commitment to teamwork together with advanced effective interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication and the ability to lead, manage conflict and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team in the planning and coordination of student clinical placements. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation and development of quality improvement and nursing research strategies in the practice environment, which supports the implementation of effective change management strategies. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of clinical risk and its implications for practice including the application of Safety and Quality and Workplace Health & Safety legislation across the clinical setting. The Team: Joining a team of 15 Whole of Community Facilitators across the state, all working in rural locations. This role is well-supported by a Lead Facilitator, plus Fieldwork Coordinators for specific aspects of student progress. There are online network meetings plus an annual face-to-face professional development day.
Details of appointment: Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 13.68 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately ten (10) months. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $103,466 to $109,165 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Services) Agreement 2023 You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4% Benefits available to eligible candidates: Professional development and accelerated pathways. Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible. Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
