Work Type:  Permanent - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time
The Licencing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit (LARU) has multiple full and part time clinical Level 6 and Level 7 positions available. These positions will be filled via pool recruitment so applicants must apply for each level they wish to be considered for; please note you can apply for both.
Clinical Consultant: PSO Level 6 $110,309 - $121,569 p.a. pro rata

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/09/2025.
About the positions: Clinical Consultant Level 6: Regulates private health facilities in accordance with the Private Hospitals and Health Services Act 1927. Carries out audits of health facilities in order to monitor standards and assess compliance with relevant standards/guidelines. Provides specialist clinical expertise and advice in relation to the licensing and accreditation of facilities. 
Participates in and supports processes whereby new standards and monitoring systems for licensing are identified and agreed. Provides clinical advice and administrative support to working parties set up to develop standards. Contributes to the strategic direction of the Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Directorate by participating as a member of the Licensing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit team.
Principal Consultant Level 7: Regulates private health facilities in accordance with the Private Hospitals and Health Services Act 1927. Identifies the key issues and priorities for continuous improvement of licensing, compliance and building standards / guidelines and approaches to monitoring these in partnership with all key stakeholders. Develops and maintains the systems and processes for licensing, compliance and/or building. 
Develops policy and provides advice on key legislative and policy issues to enable the Unit to achieve required outcomes. Contributes to the strategic direction of the Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Directorate by participating as a member of the Licensing & Accreditation Regulatory team.
