)Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook The Clinical Coding Service is looking for several Clinical Coders to join their team.
Clinical coding is the assignment of alphanumeric and numeric codes to all diseases and procedures patients have during their episode of care.
Coding Services assigns diagnoses and procedure codes to all hospital inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM (International Classification of Diseases 10th Revision Australian Modification).
The clinical coder accurately assigns specific morbidity and procedural classifications to patient episodes to meet data reporting requirements.
Onsite parking is available and hybrid working arrangements possible.

About the Role Undertake functions related to coding, grouping and quality to ensure timely and accurate completion of all inpatient coding morbidity data.
Contribute to fostering a team approach to meeting monthly deadlines, education, consistency of coding and improving data quality.
Accurately assign specific morbidity and procedural classifications to patient episodes to meet data reporting requirements of Queensland Health.
The clinical coder is acknowledged as having competent level clinical coding skills and knowledge, across a broad range of specialties.
