About the Role Melbourne Private Hospital is seeking a Clinical Coder to join our Health Information Services team on a part-time basis.
Your excellent time management and organisational skills, along with considerable clinical coding experience will ensure your success in this position.
As Clinical Coder you will be responsible for abstracting and assigning accurate diagnostic and procedure codes for all inpatient episodes. responsibilities will include:
Timely and accurate clinical coding Participate in case mix analysis, education and quality activitiesClinical documentation improvement initiativesParticipate in audits as necessary About us Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery . These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
HIMAA Certification in Clinical Coding or other recognised Clinical Coding course with experience in ICD-10-AM and ACHI according to ACS and National and State clinical coding advice and Queensland Health guidelines to meet data reporting requirements At least 1+ years clinical coding experience within a hospital settingSound understanding of Codefinder and TurbocoderStrong organisational skills in planning, prioritising and managing workloadsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work within a team environment Why Healthscope?
