Clinical Coder/Auditor/Educator (HM2) - Location Negotiable What you'll be doing Ensure timely and accurate clinical coding.
Lead processes to improve the accuracy of coding through mentoring, audits, education, and query processes.
Provide continuous clinical documentation improvement, coded data analysis, and activity-based funding education.Bring your clinical coding expertise to a dedicated team, drive process improvement, and support other clinical coding staff through mentoring and education development.This is a Category A position.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) and/or relevant Clinical Coding qualifications with eligibility for HIMAA membership.
Current experience in clinical coding auditing across a broad range of casemix at a base to tertiary facility level with a commitment to ongoing skills and competence.
Previous experience in clinical coding using ICD-10-AM and ACHI across a broad range of casemix at a tertiary level with a thorough understanding of the Australian Coding Standards; DRGs and ABM.
Demonstrated ability to extract data from source systems and data warehouses and implement/use available clinical coding audit tools.
Highly developed communication and leadership skills with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate clinical coding quality and audit results to key stakeholders.
Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a high performing team with the ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to suit circumstances to ensure priorities are met.
Demonstrated sound time management and organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines within defined resources ensuring targets are met.
Current driver's licence and ability to travel as required.
