An exciting 12 month temporary full-time employment opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse/Midwife to undertake a Clinical Coach Role within the Clinical Practice Development Unit at Townsville University Hospital. Please note there are six (6) positions available. Townsville University Hospital, located adjacent to one of Queensland's leading tertiary institutions, James Cook University, is the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia, providing specialist referral services for 700,000 people living from Mackay, to the Torres Strait, to the Northern Territory border.

About your opportunity: Fixed term temporary full-time, 12 months, 6 positions available The Clinical Coach (Clinical Nurse/Midwife) leads and delivers educational support at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse/Midwifery Standards of Practice, via facilitation of experiential learning and encouraging/empowering the "teacher" within each clinician.
Clinical Coaches (Clinical Nurses/Midwives) actively engage with nursing and midwifery staff to embed a culture of learning, focused on providing the best possible learning opportunities for students.
What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $132,289 p.a.
comprising:Salary range of $4138.10 to $4431.10 p.f.
(Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.
Role Requirements: Mandatory: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.Mandatory: Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent.Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable.
Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.Possession of class C drivers' licence.Travel: Travel by light aircraft may be required.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
