Seeking the best suited applicant to join our busy friendly team of Health Professionals on a fixed term contract for 9 months. In this entry level role, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of simple to complex pre-analytical procedures consistently and accurately, maintaining competence in the operational aspects in the role of Clinical Assistant.
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively within the team and clients, both internal and external to the laboratory.
Ability to work independently, and assist with laboratory duties as required, to meet or exceed an effective and efficient pathology service.

Proven ability to solve problems and show initiative in the workplace.Strong attention to detail, ability to focus in a busy, complex environment.Highly developed customer focus with experience dealing with a variety of people and a high-level of awareness of impact of the individual on the overall customer experience.Understanding of laboratory quality systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification.Demonstrated high level skills, or ability to rapidly acquire in the use of AUSLAB and ieMR with intermediate keyboarding skills particularly for data entry.Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive team environment.Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality and service improvement activities in accordance with National Association of Testing Authority/International Standardisation Organisation (NATA/ISO) accreditation / certification.Ability to work additional shifts to support planned and unplanned leave within the team.Proven ability to manage time effectively in a highly process driven environment with competing priorities.Qualifications, registrations and other requirementsWhile not mandatory, a Certificate III or IV in Pathology (Laboratory Assistance) or equivalent would be well regarded.May be required to participate in 24-hour shift and weekend roster arrangements.Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
