Clinical and Restrictive Practices OfficerAbout the roleJoin the Focused on Care team as a full-time (or part-time) Clinical and Restrictive Practices Officer based in Toowoomba, QLD.
In this crucial role, you will play a key part in ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for our clients and provide oversight of medications, restrictive practices and other clinical requirements.
What you'll be doing Provide expert guidance and advice on clinical practices and restrictive practicesDevelop and deliver training programs for staff on appropriate clinical and restrictive practicesMonitor and report on the implementation of restrictive practices in line with NDIS legislationCollaborate with the Clinical and RP Manager to identify and implement best practice strategiesEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standardsMaintain detailed records and prepare reports as requiredAssist with the development and review of policies and proceduresWhat we're looking for Relevant tertiary qualification in health, nursing or a related field or significant experience in a similar roleKnowledge of the NDIS or ability to quickly learnPreferred experience in the implementation of restrictive practicesPreferred experience in community nursingStrong understanding of the regulatory framework and legislation governing the sectorExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and support staffWhat we offerAt Focused on Care, we value our employees and strive to provide a supportive and rewarding work environment.
