About the roleThe Clinical and Device Educator is a Registered Nurse providing high quality first line clinical and product advice.
The role is full time, based in Sydney, but involves travel including interstate.
The role aims to enhance our value proposition for clients, clinicians, and institutions, building on our strengths and increasing efficiency.The role includes a range of responsibilities as detailed below.ClinicalProvides traditional in-service style education to clinical staff and training for trainers.Provides initial clinical and product advice directly to end users to promote independence.Provides remote and video based training, both live and pre- recorded.Manages and supports the Mediplast education and training offerings.Works with the sales and marketing teams, helping with field based enquiries.

Please don't apply if you do not meet the following criteria.You must:a) Be a Registered Nurse with a current licence to practice from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and current Driver's License.b) Be able to demonstrate high level communication and interpersonal skills.
Including being completely comfortable engaging in clinical discussions regarding medical products or individuals' personal circumstances such as medical conditions, whilst remaining empathetic, polite, yet focused.c) Be able to work independently but also be open to taking direction.d) Have flexibility and time management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks according to urgency and importance.e) Be willing to provide support to other members of the team when required.f) Understand the point at which a client should be referred to an outside health professionalg) Computer literacyh) Demonstrated ongoing commitment to own professional development.
Additional desirable skills:Experience working as a clinical educator holding relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications with relevant experience Knowledge of medical device salesSolid experience working in general surgery / respiratory / urology / enterology / spinal wound care will be particularly valued.Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles).Demonstrated clinical teaching & facilitation skills.
