This role involves providing comprehensive training, professional development, and ongoing support to ensure these nurses are well-equipped to deliver high-quality care to older Australians.
This position is for a fixed term, with an end date of 30 November 2026. Your duties will include securing and managing government funding contracts as well as delivering on project outcomes and objectives aligned with strategic objectives of ACCPA and the Services and Sector Capacity portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include: Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for new aged care nurses, ensuring they receive the necessary skills and knowledge.Providing ongoing professional development opportunities to support the growth and competency of nursing staff.Establishing and maintaining clinical governance frameworks to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.Overseeing the implementation and management of nursing transition programs, ensuring they align with organisational goals and industry standards.Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs meet the needs of the aged care sector and support workforce development objectives.Monitoring and evaluating program outcomes to ensure they meet quality standards and are responsive to the needs of older Australians.Providing mentorship and support to new nurses, fostering a supportive learning environment.Contributing to the development and reviewing of policies and procedures related to clinical education and practice.Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in clinical education and practice, implementing changes as needed.About you: Relevant qualification(s) that underpin the delivery of ACCPA Industry & Workforce Development initiatives.Knowledge, experience, and an understanding of the Aged Services sector, key reforms, and challenges.Extensive experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders.Experience in managing multiple projects and competing priorities.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative, develop effective solutions and attend to multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity to prepare high quality written material and to make oral presentations that meet the needs of a wide range of audiences in compelling ways including negotiation and facilitation.Understanding of learning and professional development principles.We require a federal police check as an essential selection component for this role, please consider this requirement when submitting your application.
