Bidgerdii Community Health Service is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled primary health care service, operating in the Rockhampton and Central Queensland region for close to 30 years.
The organisation is a bulk billing community-controlled health service, managed by a Board of Directors who oversee and manage the strategic directions of the service.
Bidgerdii provides comprehensive primary health and well-being services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the Rockhampton and surrounding regions.
Bidgerdii collaborates with health and well-being partner agencies to enable integrated continuity of care for the community and continue to work to contribute to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health policy and program reform in Queensland.
Summary:We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clinic.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Optimising extended service access, enhancing the quality and scope of care, and reforming the efficiency and financial self-sustainability of the clinics.Implementation of the approved Model of Care focusing on closing the gap through effective chronic disease management and service delivery.The overall management of the delivery of efficient and effective comprehensive primary health care services across the designated clinics.The overall management of the delivery of Visiting Specialist services, Preventative Health and Clinic teams across each of Bidgerdii's clinics.The scope of the position includes business planning, administration, reporting, financial management, leadership, and oversight of health service quality and safety, in line with the approved Model of Care, Funding Agreements and Organisational Plans.
For the right candidate, the financial package includes:Sign on bonus - $10K, plus further $5,000 after 12 monthsRelocation up to $5,000Professional Development- Further education or career progressionAbove the award salary – this is discussed at the interview.Access to Salary packaging ($15,890)Responsibilities:Manage and supervise clinic staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve clinic operations.Evaluate Clinic performance regularly and provide reports to the CEO on a monthly basis and/or as required.Monitor and manage clinic budget and expenses.Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.Manage inventory and ordering of medical supplies and equipment.Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of clinic facilities.Handle patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote the clinic.Qualifications:Qualifications and/or previous practice experience as a health professional in a primary health care setting.Demonstrated clinical management experience, particularly the ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team.A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and cultures and an understanding of the issues, particularly in the health area, which are affecting ATSI people.Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to deal with complex issues and work under pressure with minimal supervision and meet set deadlines.Demonstrated experience in implementation of change management and quality improvement.Sound understanding of clinical policies, systems, and procedures.Sound knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule and its application in the CCHS setting, including understanding of the Closing the Gap programs and targets.Additional Factors:Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, hepatitis A and pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment.Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.Current Blue Card (Working with Children and young people).Satisfactory Police Check.What We Offer:We offer excellent working conditions with up-to-date technology, great work-life balance with flexible work hours (Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm).
