Clin Psych | Registrar | Psychologist – Child Focused – 2/3 Days

Details of the offer

Clin Psych | Registrar | Psychologist – Child focused – 2/3 days
Since 1991, Penrith Therapy Centre has earned a reputation in our community for quality psychological care.
We practice from a purpose-built clinic with large, light-filled consulting rooms in a renovated heritage cottage with adjoining newly constructed staff and reception facilities. Our team culture is supportive, collaborative, and stimulating, with an emphasis on fostering a fun and engaging work environment.
PTC serves a diverse clientele, offering care to people of all ages. Some of our 14 psychologists work exclusively with children and families, others with adults, and some across the lifespan. Clients are seen through a variety of referral pathways, including Medicare and the NDIS.
We use a range of evidence-based approaches in our work, with an underlying focus on assessment, formulation, and attention to the client-therapist relationship. Longer forms of therapy are encouraged where indicated.
We value individual and peer supervision, along with professional development, to nurture growth within our team and ensure the highest standards of client care.
The opportunity
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychology Registrar, or Psychologist to join our team and work predominantly in the assessment and treatment of a range of common child, adolescent, and family presentations, including where the young person is experiencing ADHD and/or ASD.
Flexibility is central to this role, from work hours to aspects of caseload composition, allowing you to tailor your career path to your interests, commitments, and desired work-life balance. A minimum of two days per week is required with up to three days being available.
Clinicians of all career stages are welcome to apply. Our practice has an excellent track record of supporting registrars through to the completion of their program since the early 2010s.
Why choose PTC?
Support: Benefit from full administrative, practice management, marketing, and referral support, freeing you to focus on your clients. We have a comprehensive library of assessment tools, including battery tests commonly used in the assessment of young people.
Remuneration: Enjoy excellent compensation under a model designed to suit your needs.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing supervision and professional growth opportunities within a collaborative environment.
Dynamic work environment: Our team includes clinicians with over 20 years of experience, as well as mid-career professionals, registrars, and students on placement. This diversity extends beyond career stages to theoretical orientations, cultural backgrounds, and gender – creating a vibrant, inclusive team dynamic.
Please see our website, including the "join the team" section, for additional information about the practice, our recruitment philosophy, and some of the benefits of working in the beautiful Nepean / Blue Mountains region.
Join us if you have:

Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA (or eligible)
Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
A valid working with children check (WWCC)

Contact Details: If PTC sounds like the type of environment in which you could thrive and grow in your practice, please send your CV and a short covering letter outlining your clinical interests, experience, and what you'd bring to the team, to ******.
You will have the opportunity to discuss the role and your preferences in an initial video or phone meeting with our clinical director, Dr. Rudi Crncec, with an interview to follow for suitable candidates.
Phone enquiries can be made by calling 02 4721 1488.
Applications will be accepted until the right match is found.
