Climate Reporting Manager, Strategic Coordination Employment Type: OngoingClassification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 11/12Remuneration: $145,787 - $168,130 plus Superannuation and Leave LoadingLocation: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options availableApplications Close: Monday, 25 November 2024 at 9:59amRole impact & contribution As a Climate Reporting Manager, you will lead and coordinate the design and implementation of strategic climate change reporting initiatives across the department to integrate climate risk assessment and adaptation planning into strategic and operational governance and decision-making.
You will coordinate the delivery of climate-related disclosures for Treasury and lead integration of work undertaken by key business contributors in sustainability, risk management, finance, governance, strategy, organisational performance, and communications to enable Treasury to build its capability and maturity in identifying and responding to climate-related risks and opportunities.
You will be joining our Financial Management and Services Group and will be working within the Strategic Coordination unit.
What you can bring to the role The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
Knowledge and understanding of, or demonstrated ability to develop an understanding of, climate science, climate change impacts and opportunities, climate policies, and national and international climate frameworks.Demonstrated awareness and understanding of NSW Government policies, plans, and programs relating to climate policy, climate risk, and climate adaptation.Demonstrated skills in building and working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor delivery plans to achieve business and strategic outcomes.Demonstrated ability to exercise leadership, and effectively engage, activate, negotiate with and influence diverse stakeholders.Strong financial and data literacy including experience managing data collection and analysis to produce meaningful insights for decision-makers and a general audience.Advanced written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately for diverse audiences.Experience delivering high-quality corporate reporting incorporating inputs from multiple stakeholders and contributors, effective quality control procedures, and layered approval processes.Tertiary qualifications in climate science, risk management, economics, finance, law, business management, business strategy, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.Investing in you The team you will join is made up of a diverse and welcoming group of people.
