About the Role Bring Council's new Climate Emergency Plan to life across Council and in the community Embed circular economy principles into Council's practices and processes Lead a team working with the community to increase climate resilience and a circular economy Provide advice and strategic direction to Council on climate, circular economy and other sustainability related issues Collaborate closely with teams across Council to create great climate and circular economy outcomes Skills & Experience Tertiary education in climate, sustainability or related fields and/or substantial experience in these areas Demonstrated knowledge and interest in climate action and resilience, circular economy and environmental issues as they relate to local government and the community Experience leading a team or major projects, including program development, delivery and providing strategic direction Ability to co-ordinate and manage formal and informal teams with multi-disciplinary skills and expertise to achieve great outcomes Culture As a progressive leader in Local Government, Darebin City Council is passionate about social inclusion, sustainability, engagement and service excellence.
