Client Side Project Manager

Details of the offer

Your new companyClient is a specialist client-side construction consultancy based in SEQ.
Their business model is currently focused on embedding Project Managers into their clients' own teams.
As a result of a couple of projects kicking off in the new year, they are looking to hire an experienced client-side project manager.
This role is a full-function PM role delivering projects end to end, for the in-house team at the asset owner's address.Your new roleThe role is a traditional capital works PM role.
Working in-house for the asset owner delivering projects.
The difference mostly lies around the clients' expectations of the skill level of the project manager.
They are paying for a high-caliber consultant to come in and take care of the project, managing the technical details and the competing stakeholders' positions to bring the project through to completion.
As such, the preference is for experienced project managers with excellent stakeholder skills, who are able to represent the company well away from the office, essentially managing the client without daily input from the leadership team.
The project is likely multi-res of state government utility.
However, generally, the company works in aged care, education, retail, aviation, defense, commercial, refurbishment, and hospitality sectors. What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate would have a tertiary qualification in construction management, architecture, engineering, or quantity surveying and have broad experience in the sector.
A total experience of 6 years plus is suggested, with at least 2-3 years as a minimum experience working in a project management role either in-house for the asset owner in a project delivery role or working for a consultancy acting on their behalf.
Experience in a similar embedded or seconded role would be a positive.
Candidates would need to have a confident, self-assured approach to help manage stakeholders and deliver the projects. What you'll get in returnThe client is looking for an ASAP start for the suitable candidate.
They are offering an interesting, challenging role in a quality and growing employer.
Salary is negotiable based on experience, but would suggest $130-150k plus super as a guide with some flexibility if required.
Some WFH is possible, but there is a preference to be in the office in either Brisbane or on the Gold Coast. What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
