About the Team
Ngak Min Health delivers coordinated and culturally responsive primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll work closely with General Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Workers, Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Medical Specialists, and Social and Emotional Wellbeing Counsellors.
You will also collaborate with Djarragun College staff and external partners in a respectful and professional manner.
Role and Responsibilities
This full-time role involves providing confidential and professional administrative support to the Ngak Min Health team.
We are looking for an efficient, organised, and experienced administrator with a strong ability to: Schedule appointments Coordinate daily appointment lists Contact clients to confirm attendance Manage rescheduled and follow-up appointments Monitor client flow and wait times Handle data entry and records management Transport and chaperone clients to external appointments as required Address general inquiries Process Medicare claims using Best Practice software, as well as private billing and client registrations
Bring your well-developed communication and time management skills to manage these essential tasks and support the smooth running of the clinic.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have: A Certificate III in Administration or Health Administration A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role The ability to work under pressure, maintain flexibility, and show attention to detail A passion for interacting with a diverse range of clients
Additional Requirements
Satisfactory national criminal history check Working with Children Blue Card A current driver's license with no restrictions
