Located on Camperdown Campus at the Sydney School of Veterinary Science in The University of Sydney

Opportunity to work in an exciting, varied role where no two days are the same

Base Salary HEO3 (38 hours per week) $76,356 - $84,789 p.a.
+ 17% superannuation + premium loadings for after hours and weekend shifts

About the opportunity The School of Veterinary Science is looking for a Client Services Officer to provide exceptional customer service to Hospital clients, staff and students through the provision of high level reception, telephony andadministrative duties.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

greet clients, schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and provide information on services.
manage patient intake, maintain accurate records, and handle billing, insurance and payments
facilitate clear and efficient communication between clients and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care, smooth workflow, and the efficient operation of daily activities
address client concerns, resolve complaints, and conduct follow-ups to ensure satisfaction
oversee office supplies, maintain a clean and organized reception area
handle high-stress situations, prioritize urgent cases
ensure confidentiality, adhere to hospital policies, and follow regulatory guidelines
work with a rotating 5 day work week with 2 days off per week.
Available for rotating shift times according to Reception opening hours between 7am - Midnight Monday to Sunday.

As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Client Services Officer who has:

prior experience working in a Veterinary Hospital highly desirable
a Cert II in Animal Care or higher (not essential, but highly desirable)
excellent time and workload management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve required outcomes with attention to detail
strong computer skills, with knowledge and experience in MS Office Suite, Rx Works or an equivalent veterinary software highly desirable
excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters
the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.
