Primary objective: As part of the Accounts Receivable work unit, provide an efficient and effective accounts receivable service to client agencies, issuing invoices, processing receipts, and operating as part of a call centre environment in the management of debtors.
Key duties and responsibilities: Process accounts in a timely and accurate manner ensuring that source documentation is in order and meets legislative and agency requirements. Issue invoices, credit/debit memos and processing receipts on behalf of NTG Agencies. Ensure quality, up to date records are maintained by having consistent, accurate and timely processing standards. Manage a portfolio of debtors to ensure successful recovery of revenue on behalf of our client Agencies. Contribute to development of operating processes and systems and continuous improvement. Selection criteria: Essential: Sound understanding of customer focused service delivery and experience in achieving organisational outcomes through effective client engagement and negotiations. Proven ability to organise work, meet deadlines and utilise initiative together with a demonstrated ability to work without supervision, independently and/or part of a team. Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Proven ability to use information systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, database software packages and file transfer software packages. Experience in revenue collection and reporting. Demonstrated ability to implement and follow standard operating procedures and standard administrative practices including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Records Management. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and innovative. Desirable: Knowledge of Financial Management Act, Regulations and Treasurer's Directions, Audit Act, Procurement Legislation, Public Sector Employment and Management Act and Regulations, DCDD Accounting and Property Manual and Delegations Manuals. Tertiary qualifications in accounting or business-related discipline or other relevant formal studies.
