We have offices in Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.Salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax free (conditions apply)Remote allowance of $3,300 per annumAnnual airfare allowance6 weeks annual leave3 weeks personal leavePosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Client Services Officer (CSO) to join our dynamic team. As part of the Civil section, you will provide legal support to Aboriginal clients in diverse areas like police accountability, child protection, and victims of crime. As the CSO, your primary role is to support clients in engaging with their lawyers and coordinate travel to remote communities for civil law clinics, along with various administrative tasks.DutiesEngage with clients in person and over the phone, ensuring culturally appropriate communication and facilitating referrals as needed.Organise and attend remote legal services, managing travel, accommodation, promotional materials, client scheduling, and record-keeping.Maintain accurate client data in NAAJA's management systems, ensuring timely updates.Prepare legal documents and assist the civil team with administrative tasks, following lawyers' directions and performing additional duties as required.Knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal people.Demonstrated initiative and an ability to provide a high level of client service.Good communication skills with a particular ability to communicate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Experience in office procedures including word processing, email and file keeping.Ability to liaise with other agencies and develop networks and contacts in other associated services within the community.Ability to work as part of a small team and meet deadlines without supervision.RequirementsAvailability to travel to remote communities and stay overnight.Ability to obtain a satisfactory "Working with Children Clearance" (Ochre Card) upon commencement.A current 'C' Class driving license.If you're excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to apply now!How to ApplyApplicants for this position must submit a resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria.Enquiries can be sent to ****** information including position descriptions can be found on NAAJA's website www.naaja.org.au.Applications will be assessed as they are received.
