Canberra Permanent AU$120,000 - AU$121,000 per year A wonderful opportunity to join a long-standing Australian organization Permanent full-time opportunity About Our Client Our client is a renowned chartered accounting firm, specializing in providing extensive advisory services to a diverse clientele. Particularly noteworthy is the sustained growth observed in their accounting division over the years. In line with this expansion, the firm is currently in search of a highly motivated public practice accountant, demonstrating exceptional abilities in the efficient management of tax and advisory services. Job Description Review and prepare income tax returns, financial accounts, BAS's, and FBT returns for various entities. Draft bills, analyze write-ons/write-offs, and provide ad-hoc tax and entity structuring advice. Oversee payroll function, bookkeeping, and ancillary business services. Cultivate positive client relationships, acting as the primary contact for the Firm. Understand client businesses and identify areas/strategies for client benefit. Provide direction to staff, outlining responsibilities and expectations. Efficiently handle an expanding client base and maintain accuracy during workload fluctuations. Stay updated on technical issues, legislative changes, and reporting requirements, providing updates and training. Collaborate within the BSD team, attend meetings, and support continuous quality improvement. Uphold policies and procedures, engage in ongoing professional development, contribute to business development efforts, and provide positive support to colleagues and clients, ensuring desired outcomes The Successful Applicant Minimum 4+ years of experience. Demonstrated business services experience within a professional services environment. Tertiary qualifications in accounting or a related discipline and CA/CPA qualified Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
