Join Mission Australia as an Allocations Officer, where you'll help provide secure, affordable, and quality housing solutions to those in need.
In this vital role, you'll ensure properties within our housing portfolio are allocated fairly and effectively, while delivering outstanding "front of house" and administrative support to clients and stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will be to: Provide professional and compassionate support to clients, acting as the first point of contact for housing inquiries and ensuring all interactions reflect dignity and respect.
Oversee property offers, viewings, and entry condition reports, ensuring compliance with policies and accurate completion of all documentation and systems updates.
Manage sensitive information, maintain accurate records, and complete tasks such as file management, invoicing, and reception duties to support efficient service delivery.
Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, real estate agents, government agencies, and community service providers to enhance client outcomes.
Link tenants with additional support services, promote participation in programs, and respond constructively to feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams and regional service providers to deliver integrated, high-quality housing services tailored to client needs.
Assist consumers to improve their quality of life and to enhance their skills to continue living independently in the community.
Requirements for Success Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Proficiency in data management tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Analytical skills to assess housing needs, review applications, and ensure compliance.
Commitment to maintaining high professional standards, integrity, and equity in decision-making.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
