About The Role As a Client Service Officer specialising in Housing and Community Support, you will provide essential guidance and management services to applicants, tenants, and stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in assisting clients to secure housing options, manage tenancies successfully, and foster community engagement. Key Accountabilities Include Provide personalized advice and support to clients and their advocates regarding housing options, ensuring alignment with relevant legislation and policies. Collaborate with internal specialists and external service providers to address additional support needs identified during client interactions. Manage tenancies effectively, assisting clients in maintaining successful living arrangements. Contribute to community participation initiatives, fostering cohesive neighborhoods and empowering communities. Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity in managing client information. Monitor property conditions and coordinate maintenance and modifications to meet client requirements. Key Challenges: Engage with clients facing complex support needs in both home and field settings. Prioritize and manage workloads efficiently to meet demanding deadlines. Navigate conflicts and manage expectations of clients and their advocates within a human services environment. Address and manage instances of antisocial behavior effectively. About You Proven experience in client service or community support roles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage conflicting demands effectively. Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to fostering positive change in communities.
