The transformation you will experience.
The purpose of the Client Director is to influence the development of media strategy and communication plans across their client portfolio.
They are ultimately accountable for their team's work & output.
They must ensure attention to detail in all facets of their team's work and take accountability for any errors that occur.
It is expected that they will participate in, embrace and influence training forums for their team and where applicable the common good of the agency.
The Client Director is also accountable for developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with all clients - they should look to own the Marketing Manager level client relationship, and in some instances at the Marketing Director level.
The Client Director should also ensure integration with digital and mainstream media is proactively fostered within their group's dynamic and that incremental opportunities for Spark agency services are realized if relevant.
Client Directors will be called on to assist or drive New Business opportunities.
Your scope will include:
Create, or when required, work alongside strategist and partner agencies to formulate communication strategies.
Ensure media strategy documents deliver on the client's brief via clear innovative media recommendations.
Ensure planning recommendations deliver on communications strategy and demonstrate planning theory and rigor.
Have a clear knowledge of all benchmarks, trading strategies and contractual agreements and incorporate, where appropriate, into all plans.
Oversee the planning and activation of activity across client campaigns, ensuring it is in line with the overall client media strategy.
Effectively influence and direct the team in the development of media concepts and communication plans and ensure appropriate processes are created for each team based on client needs.
Influence, inspire and motivate their team to work collectively on the client's vision and objectives.
Delegate and provide appropriate guidance/mentoring to enable team members to perform their roles effectively.
Comprehend contractual obligations and any KPIs that are linked to campaign performance.

What type of person will be successful in this role
7+ years' experience.
Preferably a university degree or higher education qualifications.
Well-versed candidate across the following Office platforms: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Possess market and industry knowledge – historical and current.
Possess strong financial management skills and business acumen.
Passionate about the media and advertising industry with an interest in new technology.
Convinced and engaging relationship-building, presentation and communication skills, able to guide and influence key stakeholders.
A strong innovator that is inspiring, collaborative and enjoys mentoring, motivating and developing their team.
Strong organizational skills with the experience to juggle multiple priorities.
