Client Director
Join a leading global insurance broker in the growing Affinity and Small Business division.
This is a key role responsible for the development and execution of the strategy that will help acquire and retain clients and drive a positive customer NPS.
The Client Director is responsible for driving profitable growth in the Affinity Health & Professions teams.
Working collaboratively, you will reinforce client relationships, bring your industry knowledge to the development of product and service solutions and drive client retention and revenue generation for that group.
They are also responsible for the management of a sizeable team, ensuring an effective/high performing outcome and connecting the team to the vision and strategy of the Affinity business.
What the day will look like
In this varied and dynamic role you will have the responsibility for the following:
Developing and executing strategy to strengthen your segments and drive new business, retention and cross sell
Leading top-level client relationship management and build reputation that leads to new opportunities and strengthens existing client arrangements
Driving thought leadership and innovation with clients
Overseeing budgets and managing profitability for your portfolios
Leading a high performing team with clear KPI's and high engagement
Ensuring effective collaboration and synergy across all Aon segments and functions, including Broking and Compliance
Driving product utilisation, product innovation and channel strategy
Resource and expense management
Identifying and implementing process improvement
Reporting on portfolio performance and sharing insights into risks and opportunities
Delivering client value by leveraging relationships, client/industry knowledge, and the "Best of Aon" to provide distinctive solutions
Developing talent and building a high-performing team through continuous learning, honest feedback, rigorous development and disciplined talent management
Additionally, this role will be responsible for the growth of the Health & Professions portfolio through partnership development and channel strategy including meeting clients needs for digital and direct purchase experiences.
You will deploy both strategy and resources to execute plans that deliver agreed growth.
You will lead relationship development and co-ordination of product and service solutions specific to your group of clients or industry body in the Affinity segment, along with client retention and revenue generation of that group.
You will be a member of the Affinity Leadership Team.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Driven and dynamic leader with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
5+ years' experience in a client management or business development role in the insurance industry, ideally in the Affinity or small business space
Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) and/or Diploma of Insurance Broking preferred, or a relevant University degree
Experience and technical understanding of the insurance industry, with knowledge of Health and Professions products an advantage
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business strategy
Experience managing teams and mentoring, training and leading team members in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated track record of delivery of results including growth and retention targets
Experience managing budgets and forecasts
Proven track record of managing growing client relationships preferable in the insurance industry
Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and strong problem solving skills
Experience with digital acquisition and the customer experience
