Role Summary
Northern Trust's public cloud based Data Warehouse Solutions (DWS) aggregates NT data and external / 3rd party data into a data warehouse to produce single source of truth and fit for purpose data for client consumption.
DWS is a holistic and comprehensive service offering; including technology, infrastructure, strategic data, processes and support to aggregate, manage and deliver data.
The Client Data Specialist will be responsible for the business as usual client support and servicing component of DWS focused around understanding and managing client data (custody, accounting , investment, performance and vended data) maintained within the service offering.
This role will report to Manager, Client Solutions Consulting - APAC.
What you will do: Communicate/present Data Warehouse Solutions offering from a technical perspective to clients, prospects and consultantsTrain/demonstrate usability of DWS and data delivery tools to clientsAct as subject matter expert or escalation point for technical/data questions throughout sales, onboard and BAU supporting clients through AustralasiaWork directly with client operational teams at all levels throughout both onboarding and the migration into business as usualSupport Development, testing and release cyclesManage and support client change requests that are raisedAttend data product meetings and scrums across multiple time zones when required, create/manage user stories and priority within individual sprints as necessaryWorks with client executive/relationship manager and client to gain understanding of client needs and implements accordinglySolves complex problemsExercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information About You: 3+ years of data analysis/management, financial accounting or investment data experience e.g.
(Custody, Accounting, and Investment Books of Record)Excellent oral and written communication skillsAnalytical and problem solving skillsFamiliarity with leading data technologies (Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT, Databricks, Alteryx, Tableau)Applies best practices and how own area integrates with othersExplains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensusA demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new analytical tools and apply them in innovative waysA strong communicator who is adept at explaining complex topics to non-technical audiences and can develop and deepen strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholdersExperience in partnering closely with executive leadership and external customersComfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and processBachelor's Degree in Analytics, Statistics, Accounting, Data Management , Computer Science or related field or equivalent experienceExperience in a SAAS or DAAS businessExperience with data pipelines using cloud-based toolsWorking with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
