Client Care Specialist (Intake And Assessment)
Company:

Bloom Hr Pty Ltd

Details of the offer

Our client, Haven Home Safe (HHS) is a registered community and affordable housing provider delivering housing and homelessness services across Victoria. The team provides a range of housing solutions and wrap-around supports to help people find and keep a place they can call home. As a for-purpose organisation, Haven Home Safe (HHS) is committed to bridging the housing divide and creating more inclusive, caring communities.
This collaborative and hardworking team is now seeking a dedicated Client Care Specialist (Intake and Assessment Officer) to join the team in their Mildura office in Victoria.
You will play a crucial role in assisting families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless through the initial assessment and planning of obtaining appropriate accommodation.
As one of the first points of contact, your customer-centric focus and helpful nature will ensure a positive, welcoming, and friendly interaction with these clients.
Some Key Responsibilities Include: Undertake crisis intervention and assessment of customers both face to face and over the phone. Implement client strength and solutions-based interventions within appropriate assessments, planning, and review procedures. Provide advice in relation to a range of supports offered within the community. Respond to intake emails and enquiries, undertake an assessment of clients, and provide an interim response and support to clients awaiting case management. Accurately and professionally record customer details and assistance (including brokerage) provided in the Client Management System and other applicable data systems. Participate in collaborative arrangements within the homelessness service sector. Your strong communication skills, empathetic nature, and fantastic interpersonal and negotiation skills will ensure success in this role.
You will have a sensitivity to cultural awareness and needs of clients, and an ability to work with limited direction. This is a multi-skilled team environment, with all team members striving to deliver a high quality of customer service to some of the most vulnerable people in the community.
Some Other Qualifications Include: A formal qualification in related disciplines such as Social Work, Welfare, Social Sciences, or other relevant qualifications (highly desirable) or significant experience in a similar position. Demonstrated experience in a dynamic social service setting servicing clients and/or experience working with homeless individuals and families or people experiencing housing crisis. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.). Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management databases. Haven Home Safe requires all its staff, volunteers, directors, and contractors to have had their first two vaccine doses for COVID-19, recognising the important role this plays in our ability to continue to support the communities we serve and to keep all of us safe.
Haven Home Safe (HHS) is committed to building an inclusive workplace where all people feel valued, are empowered to bring their complete, authentic selves to work, and have equal access to opportunities to help them reach their full potential. We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disabilities, culturally and linguistically diverse people, including refugees to our country, and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, and Queer+ (LGBTIQ+) community.
Applications will be assessed as received, so please don't hesitate in applying.
