We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, professional and well-organized individual to take on the role of Clerk to Governors at Hatherleigh Community Primary School and Clerk to Governors at St Giles on the Heath Primary School (2 contracts). You will be calm, flexible, cheerful, helpful, friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
The ideal candidate will need:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent IT skills (experience of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is essential)To be personable, professional and welcoming to all visitors, pupils, parents, and staffTo work effectively as part of a teamTo maintain confidentiality at all timesTo work well under pressure - a sense of humour!Salary: £12.80 - £13.69 per hour, 7.7 hours per week (split 3.85 hours per school), 39 weeks per annum (can be worked flexibly)
As Clerk to Governors, you will provide advice to the two governing boards, its committees, and individual governors to facilitate effective and efficient meetings by organizing and attending meetings, providing the agenda, and minuting the meeting. You will manage information effectively and facilitate and co-ordinate the induction process for new governors and promote governor training. The Clerk to Governor position reports to the two Chairs of Governors, and the hours can be worked flexibly as required; there is no requirement to work set hours each week. Governor meetings normally take place after school at 4pm and 5:30pm depending on the committee. Meetings usually last between 1 and 2 hours.
