We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef and Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen operation in all our outlets, whilst guiding and mentoring our team of Chefs.
About the Role...
The key responsibilities in this exciting role include:
Displaying strong leadership skills by guiding a team of Chefs across various outlets to deliver accurate and efficient service Supporting the day-to-day control of food production ensuring that the output is of exceptional quality and presentation Maintaining stock control, wastage levels, and food and labour costs Creating and producing menus including costings and standard recipe cards Actively training, mentoring, and guiding the kitchen team on service techniques and procedures, ensuring staff perform to the required standard Working collaboratively with the food and beverage team About You...
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery Experience in a similar role and with A la carte service Current Food Safety Supervisor accreditation A high calibre of food skills and product knowledge Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of Chefs Strong knowledge of Work, Health and Safety, and Food and Hygiene practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Full working rights in Australia What's in it for you?
