An established and respected Australian investment firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to join their team in Sydney.
The role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships within the Retail and Wholesale advice channels, primarily across NSW/ACT, with a focus on driving growth in global equity and credit strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Exceed financial targets in designated market segments. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients, with an emphasis on expanding the firm's client base. Develop and implement a regional engagement plan to enhance brand relevance and showcase the firm's unique capabilities to foster growth. Actively identify new business opportunities, participating in conferences, networking events, and leveraging social media to engage with a wider audience. Contribute to shaping the company's market positioning by analysing industry trends and dynamics. Play a key role in business planning and strategy development, providing quarterly updates to the leadership team. Use CRM tools to track client data, opportunities, and requests, ensuring efficient management and reporting. Desired Skills & Experience: In-depth understanding of the Australian retail and advice markets, including key industry trends and regulatory developments. Proven experience within Australian retail advice channels, with a demonstrated ability to build and manage client relationships. An established network of key decision-makers within the Australian IFA market is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels through compelling and impactful presentations. Solid understanding of the Australian asset management market and financial services regulations, with the ability to operate within risk management frameworks. Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and using media channels for promotion. A relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (Business, Finance, or related field) and RG146 qualification are essential. Competencies: Strong alignment with the company's values and culture.
