Your new role We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Investigations team as a Manager on a full-time fixed term (until 21/11/25) basis. Reporting to the Director, the role is responsible for managing a large multi-disciplinary team that investigates highly complex and sensitive matters involving allegations within IBAC's jurisdiction.
Duties include: In consultation with the Director, manage the planning and delivery of the Investigations team's program of work, overseeing work efforts and investigations within the unit. Direct and conduct investigations in accordance with legislation, processes and procedure. Recommend new or enhanced policies and practices to minimise the risk of corrupt conduct occurring within public sector organisations. Drive a culture of high performance, by providing direction and clear communication regarding role responsibilities and expectations; provide regular performance management and progress reviews to address performance strengths and gaps and provide relevant training and development opportunities to ensure successful achievement. Additional duties are set out in the position description. Our requirements / Your skill set We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
Extensive experience in the conduct and management of sensitive and complex investigations. Extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary investigation teams. Extensive experience in the use of traditional and contemporary investigative techniques. Formal qualifications and/or training in investigations, law enforcement or a related discipline are essential. Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
