Due to its continued growth trajectory, it is seeking a Head of Compliance and Quality to lead systemic improvements, foster a culture of accountability and excellence, and oversee compliance and quality assurance across the organisation.
The Opportunity Reporting to a Compliance and Quality Executive, and leading a team of compliance and quality professionals, this role is pivotal in driving organisational change and enhancing operational efficiency. The key challenges are:
Leadership and Team Dynamics: Align and improve cohesion between operational teams by fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture that will enhance operational efficiency within the business unit. Safety and Compliance Culture: You will lead the embedding of an authentic safety and compliance culture across the entire organisation at every level. This is an important, critical task as safety and compliance are crucial daily at each centre and need to be raised from an awareness and adherence perspective. Compliance Management: Currently, there are gaps in compliance and quality audits. You must develop and implement quality and compliance initiatives to address the systemic gaps. This will occur by embedding robust frameworks that ensure operational processes are aligned with national childcare regulations and drive adherence to them daily. Audit Processes and Capability Building: Improve auditing processes to exceed national standards to enhance the capability of centre managers to more easily comply with all regulations. You will develop and implement a rigorous internal audit framework that leads to improved operational compliance, which is already sound. About You You are an experienced compliance and quality leader with a proven track record in highly regulated industries such as education, aged care, hospitality, or healthcare. You have exceptional leadership skills, thrive in challenging environments, and excel at driving cultural and operational change.
Key qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Commerce, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Extensive experience in compliance and quality roles or as an Internal Auditor. Proven success in managing dispersed teams and leading operational transformations. Strong understanding of Australian Education and Care Services National Law, regulations, and the National Quality Framework (NQF) (advantageous but not essential). Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with executive teams and boards. Skills and attributes: Strong leadership and change management capabilities. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational demands and long-term goals. Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex compliance challenges. Experience developing high-performing teams and embedding compliance frameworks. Calm and collaborative approach under pressure. Why Join?
