Total remuneration range: $233,482 to $257,585 per annum commensurate with experience. Based in Sydney CBD, Gosford or Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available. Travel may be required to locations across the state. About the role We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to step into the role of Director of Privacy, Data Governance & Fraud Advisory. This senior executive role is a unique opportunity to drive the strategy and delivery of critical functions across Service NSW in the areas of privacy, data governance and fraud advisory. You will be instrumental in shaping how we maintain the trust of our customers, partners and stakeholders, manage risk, deliver expert advice, and ensure our operations comply with the highest standards of regulatory and legislative requirements.
As the Director of Privacy, Data Governance & Fraud Advisory, you will lead and oversee 5 direct and approximately 20 indirect subject matter experts, driving high-quality and timely services to protect the organisation from privacy, data and fraud risks and maintain a robust incident management system. You will ensure compliance with relevant laws and frameworks, provide expert assurance, and deliver strategic advice that shapes our services and customer interactions.

Extensive experience and exposure in either privacy, data governance, fraud advisory, risk management and working in a customer-focused environment. Positive motivational qualities enjoying collaborating with specialist teams and values diverse perspectives fostering a positive, inclusive team culture. Ability to collaborate across functions, balance competing demands and encourage team input in decision-making. A strong ability to motivate, guide, provide expert advice and influence senior stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make balanced, informed decisions in complex and high-pressure environments. Thrives in a fast-paced environment where not one day is the same, able to pivot quickly, respond to urgent issues, and maintain a strategic focus under pressure.
