12+12+12 Month Federal Government Contract AGSVA Clearance required, higher clearances preferred Barton, Canberra - Mostly onsite This Federal Government Client is seeking to engage two experienced Cloud Engineers that will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing cloud infrastructure, resolving issues, ensuring high availability, implementing disaster recovery plans, designing scalable solutions and collaborating on cloud architecture and migration strategies.
Key responsibilities including but not limited to: Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure for high availability, reliability, and performance Implement access controls, encryption, backups, and disaster recovery plans Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions Design scalable and secure cloud solutions based on business needs Collaborate on cloud architecture and strategy Plan and execute cloud migration strategies Key Attributes: Expertise in current tools, methods and technologies used within their domain of expertise while also having the ability to adapt to new technology and ensure they impart this knowledge to others Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities and compressed timelines Ability to translate technical concepts to stakeholders and collaborate across teams and external partners Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a technical team, ensuring efficient operations and capability growth Demonstrated ability at creating technical documentation for technical maintenance and training purposes Required Skills and Experience: Minimum three years of Cloud experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimisation Several years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems Experience in IaC development such as Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, Azure ARM, and Kubernetes Experience scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell Proficient with GIT to perform source code management Competence in a wide range of IT skills including backups, storage, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling.
