Job Overview Our client, a Federal Government agency who promotes and protects Australia's international interests to support our security and prosperity, is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join their team.
Location and Contract Details Parliamentary triangle, Canberra - 2 days WFH Must have an NV1 security clearance 12 month Federal Government contract + extensions Skills/Criteria: Demonstrated extensive knowledge, experience and ability in developing and delivering Business Intelligence (BI) solutions within agreed time, cost and quality expectations. Extensive knowledge and experience in developing and supporting Microsoft BI implementations, including Integration Service (SSIS), SQL Server, Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerBI with specific experience in designing and building reports, data cubes, models and dashboards. Strong skills in T-SQL, DAX and MDX query languages and a sound understanding of enterprise BI and data warehouse (EDW) concepts such as data analysis and dimensional modelling, report and dashboard design, prototyping and agile approaches to solution delivery, data quality and governance. Ability to adhere to agreed standards and better practice frameworks for BI solution development, project management and system development lifecycle management with experience working with source code management products like Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Willingness and ability to effectively contribute to the development and maturity of quality control frameworks for ICT service delivery including BI and EDW development, support and management. Experience in developing data analytics or machine learning solutions (e.g. R or Python). Ability to produce accurately written documentation for a non-technical audience including: business process maps; user stories and logical data models/entity relationship models.
