Base salary will range from $165,287 - $181,934 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level D)
Based at the Translational Research Institute at our Dutton Park campus
About This Opportunity This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow in Dermatology to join our world-leading team at the Frazer Institute to provide academic leadership in melanoma and skin cancer research.
We are looking for an established researcher who has internationally-recognised expertise in the prevention, detection or treatment of melanoma and skin cancer. The successful candidate will build upon our significant achievements in dermatological research to develop the leading institution for clinical melanoma research in Australia and globally. You will be experienced in producing high-impact research teams using multi-disciplinary approaches, translating research discoveries to the clinic and engaging with industry as well as healthcare providers.
The successful applicant will provide leadership within a large and highly collaborative research centre encompassing experts in cancer biology, immunotherapy, genomic medicine, genetic counselling, dermatopathology, whole-body imaging, artificial intelligence, data science, clinical informatics and digital health.

About You Completion of a PhD in the discipline area.
A sustained record of outstanding impact and achievement in research in melanoma, skin cancer research and experimental artificial intelligence application in dermatology.
International recognition in the area of expertise and an excellent record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Ability to successfully lead a research team, with an excellent record of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing significant external research funding from institutional and commercial sources.
An extensive record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
A strong record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with evidence of leadership in external activities.
Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from a multidisciplinary background.
