What is the opportunity? CLEANING SUPERVISOR AFTERNOON / NIGHT SHIFT 3.00pm to 11.15pm ABOUT YOU We are now seeking an energetic Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to join our leading Export Red Meat processing plant, someone who is innovative, smart, and not afraid of a challenge. You will be supported by our current team of industrial cleaners.
Reporting to the Production Manager, we are looking for someone with exceptional communication and leadership skills in industrial cleaning, hygiene procedures, and safe chemical handling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Develop strategies to improve current cleaning techniques.Manage current employees, communicate and monitor performance to targets.Provide accurate information to current management team.Ensure employees are trained in cleaning and safe work procedures.Compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures, and maintenance of quality and hygiene standards.Ensure proper and effective use of equipment and people (Chemicals and PPE).Training and development of new and existing employees.Ideally, candidates with the following attributes are encouraged to apply: Relevant commercial/industrial cleaning experience in the food processing industry.Chemical handling certificates or sound knowledge of chemicals.An understanding of Quality Assurance and Hygiene auditing.An understanding and promotion of Safe Work Regulations.Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent time management and problem-solving skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate on all levels.Ability to develop relationships and maintain confidentiality.A desire to mentor and encourage staff.Experience in the red meat industry would also be beneficial.This is a salary staff position working 38 hours per week 3.00pm to 11.15pm with some overtime required and salary will be negotiated at interview stage.
