We currently have an opportunity for a Cleaning & Housekeeping Coordinator to join our team. This role will support the Defence Contract for delivery of the Cleaning and Housekeeping services contract to the Department of Defence SNSW & QLD regions.
Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you will support the Cleaning and Housekeeping Manager to ensure all services are compliant and delivered to the standard required in the Statement of Works (SOW) as defined by Defence.
What you'll do
Support the Cleaning & Housekeeping Manager to ensure adherence to all service deliverables in the Statement of Works (SOW) for Cleaning and Housekeeping. Ensure compliance to Cleaning Management Plan (CMP). Support the Cleaning & Housekeeping Manager to ensure delivery of unplanned cleaning activities in accordance with the CMP. Manage and oversee accommodation and reception desk services including pre and post occupation inspections of accommodation. Confirm via Accommodation clerks that Room Management System (RMS) aligns with the Defence Housing Australia (DHA) Booking Agent System (BAS). Ensure all cleaning equipment and consumables for user cleaning (e.g. gyms, kitchenettes, living-in accommodation, health facilities) are provided, and that all equipment is in good working order; remove from service any unsafe equipment for repair or replacement following set procedures. Ensure high quality and co-operative relationships with key Defence Base personnel, sharing appropriate information with them to build their understanding of issues and capabilities. What you'll bring
Relevant qualifications in cleaning (Asset Maintenance Cert II, III, IV) or relevant industry experience. Ability to obtain and retain a Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory). Experience in a similar role with strong client services skills and significant cleaning and housekeeping industry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office package. Able to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role.
