Cleaner / Laundry Assistant/ Kitchen Hand

Permanent Part-Time / Casual Kitchen Hand / Cleaner Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands / Cleaner working at our two Facility: Hermitage Located in the heart of the Ellenbrook Community, Aegis Hermitage caters for up to 120 residents and provides Low, High and Dementia specific care.
Aegis Hermitage also provides a modern working environment for staff.
Parkview Located in the heart of Redcliffe , Aegis Parkview caters for up to 79 residents.
Aegis Parkview provides high quality care services in a secure and friendly living environment; this modern purpose-built Facility supports our residents' every need and enables choices in daily living activities.
About You As a Kitchen Hand / Cleaner you are a valuable member of the team working able to work efficiently with minimal supervision as required, and as part of the team.
Someone that is reliable, proactive with a high attention to cleaning details.
A working day will involve: Preparing resident's meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.
You should ideally be an empathetic person who: Enjoys working with the elderly.
Can work independently and as part of a team.
Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should possess the following: At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
A knowledge of food safety.
Knowledge of infection control principles and commercial cleaning operations, including the safe use of chemicals.
Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
