General responsibilities include routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms.Ensure the Aged Care home is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and infection control guidelines.What you'll bringYou're reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping rolesAbility to work independently, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standardsA sense of compassion & empathy towards elderly residentsExperience working in Aged Care or Health environment (desirable but not essential)You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.Why Mercy Health?We've been supporting people for over 100 years.
