About the OpportunityAs our Corporate First Nations Specialist, you'll play a key role within CleanCo's Corporate Sustainability Team, reporting to the Sustainability Manager. Your role will involve leading initiatives that support CleanCo's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and ensuring that our internal practices champion trauma-aware, healing-informed, and culturally appropriate engagement. You'll collaborate to build frameworks that empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across our recruitment, development, and procurement practices, supporting CleanCo's mission to foster a sustainable and inclusive workplace. This will include:
Strategy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of policies and practices to advance CleanCo's commitment to First Nations partnerships, fostering strong, respectful relationships.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring CleanCo's engagement with First Nations communities is culturally informed and trauma-aware.Talent Pathways: Design and implement career pathways for First Nations recruitment, retention, and development, collaborating with People & Culture to support CleanCo's diverse talent pipeline.Cultural Learning: Develop and deliver educational materials on cultural safety and appropriateness, promoting cultural understanding and positive engagement company-wide.Procurement Practices: Identify opportunities to enhance CleanCo's engagement with First Nations suppliers, advancing equitable business practices within our operations.As an Identified Position under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD), applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
