Operating across Tasmania, at the heart of what we do is developing meaningful, local partnerships that generate active community participation in container deposit schemes. This is achieved by deploying a network that is focused on consumer convenience and accessibility and leverages existing behaviours, making it easy for the community.
The position
We have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of allocated profit and loss statements and accurate maintenance of allocated balance sheets in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards, and company policies and procedures. Reporting to the Finance Director, the position will also include:
Daily cash management and bank reconciliations Production and review of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations Prompt processing of all inter-company transactions Collaborating with Group Taxation and prepare detailed supporting schedules and reports to statutory bodies on finance and taxation obligations and any other business specific requirements Processing sundry invoices and manage sundry accounts payable
Skills and experience
Relevant accounting and commercial experience in a complex, diverse, multi-site matrix business Experience in the development and monitoring of budgets by establishing and transforming operational discipline and processes to drive P&L performance Demonstrated experience with interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to ensure better business decisions Experience in operationalising best practice processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement Experience in JDE will be considered positively
