About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a PDHPE Teacher to become a valuable addition to our remarkable team at St Johns College in Dubbo NSW.
The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the PDHPE curriculum while creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment for their students.
We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:
Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.
Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.
Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement.
Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.
Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life.
Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities.
About You (selection criteria)
We are looking for someone who can meet the following selection criteria:
Expertise and passion for leading learning.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
Ability to teach PDHPE across Stages 4-6.
Capacity to work collaboratively in a PDHPE Faculty.
Experience using technology to inform, track, and report student learning.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in managing student behaviour in a way that supports learning.
Commitment to the development of a self-improving school culture.
Understanding and commitment to the ideals of Catholic education.
Passion for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to diverse learners.
