Details of the offer

Location ProfileWaverley Meadows Primary School is a community minded school in Wheelers Hill.
We are in a period of exciting growth and change with significant improvements to our teaching pedagogy and curriculum programs, as well as our facilities.

We have very expansive grounds and three upgraded learning spaces, library, Science/STEM room, multi-purpose room and music room.
There is plenty of room for sport with dedicated spaces for basketball, netball, soccer and football (recently upgraded to synthetic surface), as well as two playgrounds, nature play space and shaded seating areas.
An expansive vegetable garden and chicken coop enable students to experience Agricultural Studies as a part of their science program and Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.

The vision of Waverley Meadows Primary School is to develop our students to be critical and creative thinkers with a passion for learning.
The school motto of `To Learn is to Grow' guides our daily practices and we embrace opportunities for growth.
All members of the community act with kindness and respect.
We are a school that is large in grounds and even bigger in heart, with a small student population.
Enrolment growth is a big focus and as our improvement efforts and reputation begins to take hold in the area, we are seeing increased numbers at all year levels.
Building stronger connections with local kindergartens and child-care centres aims to help us improve enrolments into Foundation.

Waverley Meadows Primary School values our community culture and we promote strong partnerships between home, school and local community.
We pride ourselves for our inclusiveness and acknowledge and celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students and families.

Our core class curriculum is supported by specialist programs including The Arts (visual and performing), Physical Education, Science (STEM) and AUSLAN (LOTE).

Staff have worked hard to develop, refine and embed strong Professional Learning Community priorities and processes, with a focus on development of data literacy and responding to individual student needs.
