Location Profile Hampton Park Secondary College is a large multi-cultural learning community situated in southeast Metropolitan Melbourne, with over 1200 students from over 60 cultural backgrounds and approximately 190 staff.

Selection Criteria SC1 Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills and respond to student learning needs.
SC2 Experience in planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their impact on student learning growth.
SC3 Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback to students and parents.
SC4 Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in establishing collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
SC5 Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning to improve teaching quality.
Role The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on planning, preparation, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
As classroom teachers gain experience, their contributions to the school program beyond the classroom increase.
Classroom teachers may be required to undertake other duties in addition to their teaching responsibilities, provided these are appropriate to their qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities The role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students; Contributing to the development and evaluation of curriculum areas; Undertaking classroom teaching-related and organisational duties; Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions; Undertaking non-teaching supervisory duties.
