The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA K-2 Early Years experience (class allocation likely to be Kindergarten in 2025), including early years pedagogies strong working knowledge and implementation of the K-2 English syllabus, including the use of phonics teaching and decodable texts.

QUALIFICATIONS Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
